There are only three types of payments flatfair members may be required to make during their membership period:

  • Initial membership fee – This is a one-off payment to set up the membership (the agreement made between the landlord, the tenant and flatfair)
  • Charges for damages or rent arrears – Once the agent or landlord has established a lawful charge against the tenants, the tenants are liable to pay flatfair for any such damages as outlined in the flatfair membership terms at the end of their tenancy
  • Dispute charges – a £100 + VAT fee for raising a dispute. flatfair will only retain this charge in cases where the independent adjudicator believes the dispute was not raised in good faith – otherwise, this fee is fully refunded to tenants
